Drop the jig down to the bottom, then crank it up 30 feet off the bottom and free spool. Or cast the jig and let it fall while free spooling, wait for the bite, then jerk it and repeat. The center balanced jig falls with a wobbling action in a horizontal position, keeping the strike zone longer than other slow pitch jigs. Great for saltwater species such as kingfish, tuna, grouper, and more.

The Shimano Butterfly Flat Fall Jig is the "gold standard" which other flat fall jigs are measured against. If you're going to make the effort (time and expense) to go some 30 to 50 miles (or further) offshore, are you going to go "cheap", or be willing to spend $20 for the top of the line flat fall jig? That math is easy. These flat falls are amazing fish catching tools for snapper, tuna, kings. Highly recommend.

Shimano flat fall
Shimano glow is killing it on 100# plus bluefin tuna this week. I bought and my son caught his first 100 plus tuna. Definitely want to have this in tackle bag when going on long range fishing triceps.

I purchased two 8" Chop Blocks, one in Shad and one in Raw and one 6" in Shad. Would've bought a 6" Raw too if it had been in stock. Although, DT does usually have good stock on everything, but I believe anglers are buying these Chops up like crazy lately. I got them for $22.49 each and feel like that was a decent deal, especially since I met the free freight threshold. However, when getting on site to write this review, I notice only four days after my purchase that they are now $19.99 each almost 12% less which is slightly aggravating, but I do appreciate the DT prices, service and selection. The items came in only four days in good order, which is phenomenal. I can't wait to try these new lures out! Thank you DT and I'll be back for more!!
