Crappie. Bluegill. Bream. Sunfish. Warmouth. Pumpkinseed. Perch. The term panfish encompasses a wide variety of species - but nearly all of them respond to small soft plastics, spinnerbaits, spoons, and ultralight cranking and jerking hardbaits. Whether you like to jig soft plastics, cast or troll tiny swimbaits, and crankbaits, or throw live bait, Discount Tackle carries an ever-growing variety of panfish tackle.
We carry a range of panfish baits that includes both professionally recognized soft bait makers like Bobby Garland and Mr. Crappie by Strike King, and classic panfish tackle makers like Berkley and Johnson. From touring crappie fishing professionals to casual anglers looking for gear to take the kids down to the marina and catch a few sunfish, we've got the crappie and panfish tackle you need to keep your rod bent.

View full detailsI don't understand how anyone could write a negative review about this line. I'm 40yo, and I've been trout fishing since I was 5yo. I started fishing Fluoro when it first hit the market. I've literally used every top brand there currently is, and this smokes em all easy. This line is super string, yet is very difficult for fish to detect, even when fishing for finicky trout. I just caught 3 breeders over the weekend, and didn't even reset my line in between two of them. All 6 lb trout, one even jumping 4 times out of water while barrel rolling one of those time. It was unbelievable. What kept me safe? This line! Invizx is great too, but it's softer and nicks easier. This and tatsu are prime!
Been using for years, great padding action and durable jig trailers
Price is right and the shipping was fast. Discount tackle had many many color and size options of my favorite mirrOlure twitch baits. I used these in florida for years saltwater fishing with good luck. Tried in a freshwater pond in michigan and slayed large and smallmouth bass all morning. Suspends in water 1-2 ft depth, no dive , no floating. Darts side to side when twitch reeling in
I bought these when they first came out because they were something new and interesting. I thought they would give a new and different way to use plastic bait...and boy was I right! The first time I tied one on (1/28 oz) paired with a 13fishing twin tail, I caught a 3.5lb. largemouth. I rigged it up with a very small 2.5 in plastic lifelike minnow (rigged wacky style) and after only a couple casts , pulled in a 4.2lb largemouth (my fish of choice) . I live in central Illinois and a lot of people may not thing these are very big, but to us in Illinois these are good fish. These fish are not guesses either, I weight all my catches. This hook allows you to present small and lightweight baits in the wacky style that would normally float. I am a firm believer of this product.
I use Size 00 and 0 to connect 2-4 lb line to 1/32 oz and smaller jig heads/baits, mainly for panfish. I know, I know..... purists will say I'm losing hook-ups, using a snap instead of direct tying. OK, maybe. But, I'm 84 years old, and switching baits with a snap is a whole lot less time consuming than trying to tie new knots in a boat or on-shore. I catch a whole lot of panfish; how many I don't because of a snap shall remain forever unknown. These snaps work great, and have not failed under stress. They are a permanent part of my kit, and I'll never be without them.
