Daiwa Samurai braided line is unlike any other braided line on the market. Sure it's strong and sensitive, but it's also noticeably thinner, softer, smoother and more flexible than ordinary braids. That means less friction for better casts; reduced line noise on the retrieve; and a faster sink rate due to less current resistance.

I took one cast, and the braid broke off with my $25 lure... I'm thinking maybe it's old inventory.?

The best casting line

This line by far out distances any I have ever used and strong line with a small diameter so you can load small powerful reels with extra yardage 55 lb test is equivalent to 10 lb mono. Not cheap but I think worth every penny

Best braid out there!!!

I was completely against braid tried every kind on the market from cheap to expensive this is the only braid I will fish super smooth coming through the eyes which is one of my biggest issues about braid!!! Great line highly recommended

Less expensive than competitors

This product is a very decent fishing line from Daiwa: super strong, yet maintains its softness and flexibility. Unlike other fishing lines, it comes on a leader type of plastic spool which makes it harder to spool on a reel because it cannot be placed over a shaft. It also has some issues of colors bleeding out, but it is nevertheless worth the price.

Impressive durability. It is thin, strong, and smooth. I tried it several times and so far it has not failed me.
