  • Available in 6 colors.

The River2Sea Silent Whopper Plopper 130S is a silent, 5 inch, 1 3/8 ounce model of Larry Dahlberg's world-renowned topwater prop lure design. Unlike the standard Whopper Plopper 130, the Silent Whopper Plopper 130S does not feature any internal rattles for a subtle presentation, which is ideal when fishing calmer waters where the prop alone generates plenty of surface action.

Its tail is made of super-tough plastic that flexes right back into place whether it gets chomped on or gets cast into a bridge piling. And since they are molded from high-quality plastic, every single one comes out of the box with the perfect tail size and angle to make a sound that simply drives fish crazy. The River2Sea Whopper Plopper 130S is "roll-resistant" and works well at a variety of speeds. Sound experiments have suggested that even at constant speeds the tail kicks out sounds that vary as much as an octave in pitch as opposed to the more monotone metal tails.

I like how it arrived early and the condition of the lure most likely will be buying more

Great topwater

I have heard the rumor among some of the old timer's (like me) about a whopper plopper. Having no idea what this mysterious creature was, I searched one out. I purchased the 130 model and after opening the package I saw that the design is solid with quality hooks. First cast on 18 pound braid went a country mile down the lake. Even tho I could not clearly see it, I sure could hear the "plop-plop-plop" of the retrieve - this thing is amazing to watch come through the water. I expect many years of faithful service from this lure and will be purchasing a few more of various sizes. Primary target: stripers & bass.

Pike fishing rocky bottoms

Y'all prolly already know the whopper plopper is the topwater bait for bass fishing, but what you may not know is that the 130 models kill it with pike. I really like the silent model for fishing water with a rocky bottom. That cuz the rattle version is too nosiy with a rocky bottom cuz all the echos and reverb you make off the rocks only use rattles with mud bottom. Silent creates perfect noise with rocky bottoms.
