Daiwa Exceler LT Spinning Reel

Save $16.00

A smartly priced reel that can match the performance of many more expensive models. The Carbon Light Material Housing was designed with the LT concept of light but tough, in mind. The carbon based material is light yet very strong making the reel easy to manage over the long haul. A machined aluminum handle is a comfortable, strong connection to the main gear of the spinning reel. The Air Rotor and Air Bail designs reduce the weight, yet efficiently disperse the pressure of the line over the bail to the whole part. The reel is extremely smooth utilizing 5 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing to maximize performance. In a world of you get what you pay for, the Daiwa Exceler LT series of reels gives you more design technology and concept than reels twice the price.

High dollar features, affordable price tag

2500 Series: Very smooth, with 5 ball bearings and one roller bearing. 6.2 : 1 gear ratio, 34.5 inch retrieval rate, 22 pounds max drag in a 7.2 ounce package. I bought two of them.

Exeler 1000

I replaced a Pfluegar Supreme 1000 reel that died after approximately 75 total hours of use...this is my panfish outfit used mostly in early spring in fresh water fishing. Very light, smooth reel, cast like a dream with XL Trielene 6# mono. Like the way the drag sounds with fish pulling line. Nice drag, no sticking spots, very predictable when adjusting the drag. For an economical reel it performs like a much higher priced reel...great bang for your dollar!

Impressively smooth and easy to use

Wasn't really expecting much from this but I was thoroughly impressed upon testing it. It's smooth and it doesn't tangle easily. It feels sturdy and well made, too!
