I got two of these Samurai 2 tech shirts, one with a hood and one without. Both worked great. Good active fit--follow the size chart or its too big! They kept me pretty cool in some hot conditions, the sweat wicked off and dried fast, and didn't seem super funky either (the tag says its anti-microbial?) Also, says UPF50, so I didn't get any sunburn where the shirt covered up, but that's kind of the point of covering up. If you're wearing a neck gaiter, you probably don't need the hood, too. We had some good waves and splashing when running offshore toward the Cobia and the shirt got pretty wet, but it dried in minutes. If you want to roll up the sleeves, it works fine, too. Also, after fishing, I wore mine on the beach for a little extra protection and then to grab a cold beer, and the Samurai 2 worked fine off the water, too.
