Lew's Tournament MP LFS Baitcasting Reels are a series of low-profile bass casting reels. Touting the P2 Super Pinion™, the Tournament MP has precise alignment and stability in the pinion gear through a bearing support system, resulting in smoother operation and extended gear life. Match that up with a premium 10-bearing system and externally adjustable Multi-Setting Brake (MSB) dual cast control system, and you have one smooth reel.

A bowed, lightweight 95mm aluminum handle with Lew’s Combat Grip® paddle knobs, Combat Grip® thumb bar, and 20 pounds of available drag power make sure it won’t shy away from heavy cover and big fish.

Available in 6.8:1, 7.5:1, and 8.3:1 gear ratios in Right and Left Hand retrieve, 5.6:1 gear ratio available in Right Hand retrieve only.

Lews MP

This reel paired with KVD rod is very light. Smooth and easily adjusted for different lure weights. Pleasure to use all day long.

I spent a lot of time on this. I liked it so much I got another one. Its ultra reliable and built extremely well. I'm at the point I won't use anything but Lews.

This was my first baitcasting style reel since I started fishing and spooled with straight mono to start the learning process. I paired it with a TP1 black speed stick. After getting over the learning process it worked really well and I got more comfortable with it. Then I got a Shimano. Nothing wrong with the Lews, I still use it occasionally, but I had no idea what buttery smooth could actually mean. If you want to save and stay in the 150 price range this should do well. But if I could have a do-over, I would save more and get a Curado 70 MGL if you’re just starting with baitcasting.
