This chatter bait is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. The blade starts quick. I use a mooch minnow for a trailer. It presents a nice compact profile that can be thrown with a bait caster.
These worms are an excellent finesse choice. Rainbow Trout love 'em so far. Discount Tackle ships them quickly and they arrive well packaged, damage free and on time!!!
ive only used my deep-x once, but it doesnt seem to get to the stated depth on a cast. ill be using it on another lake, to cast and troll. i do look forward to that, as this other lake is the reason i purchased the deep-x, mainly to troll with. i think they will work great on the troll!!
If you are having trouble reaching that 8-foot depth, we highly recommend using a lighter # test fluorocarbon. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns!
This bait is everything anglers I follow said it is. As soon as it hit the water it got bit. I initially purchased the 5.8” but it was a bit large for the pond I was fishing. However it still got bit as soon as it hit the water. A bass attacked it but couldn’t commit to it. I ordered the 3.8” and my first cast a bass swallowed it. I caught 2 decent bass with it on my next outing. Can’t wait to use both sizes on a lake where there are larger bass to be caught. The feel of it is different than any other plastics I’ve used in my 4 year bass fishing journey. Even though it smells like corn chips it will definitely be in my load out when I hit the water. I like that it can be rigged in many different ways. My favorite right now is Texas rig, weightless and/or with a small tungsten bullet weight. The way hits the water should and did capture the attention of and bass within the immediate vicinity. I plan on ordering the 2.8” just to have that size in my arsenal. The only negative about this lure is after3-4 uses it began to tear, but I will be gluing it together just to get as much use out of it as possible. This is definitely one of my favorite lures that I won’t be sharing with friends. They’ll have to visit Discount Tackle to purchase their own. 😂
