The Daiwa Proteus Boat Conventional Casting Rods are saltwater boat fishing rods designed with ruggedness and strength to dominate the toughest saltwater gamefish. Suitable for saltwater fishing on both coasts and the Gulf of Mexico, these rods use HVF Carbon Constructed blanks that are light, yet powerful enough to reign in even the feistiest saltwater species.
Braiding X Tape also reinforces the blank to prevent twisting and distortion as it loads up. Casting is easy, comfortable, and accurate thanks to aluminum oxide Fuji FazLite Tangle Free K-Guides and ultra-durable EVA foam grips. Rods are rated for both monofilament and braided mainline.
