The Luhr-Jensen Cut Bait Head w/ Rigging is a teaser head for use when trolling cut bait sardine, herring, or other baitfish. When trolled, this brightly colored head imparts a tight rolling action to your bait to make it appear more like an injured baitfish. They work...

These work okay but could be made better with some modifications.. Head opening needs to be wider for bait entry without a fight. I do like the fact that the roll is built in.. Just needs larger bait opening

These were EXACTLY what I was looking for

These are a must "go-to" for salmon trolling and halibut...
VERY easy to use and set up.

Too narrow for herring

I bought these to use specifically with herring, but the opening to insert the herring head is too narrow. I'm having to squish the herring head and still can only get it in about half way. Although I can get it in far enough to get the pin through the head, I'm afraid the herring will break just behind the head when trolling. However, that didn't happen and I caught two salmon the first couple of hours. It would also be nice to include an extra pin. I'm sure the pin will get lost and I'll be using toothpicks at some point.
