Can’t tear these up. Caught a few dozen trout without having to adjust bait. Great Action

The bait works great, 5 stars for the outstanding action. However, the ones with a white or Chartreuse tail have issues with quality. The tails came off in the package or on the first cast. Everything I have is Zman, so seeing this happen is surprising.

Put the 5" on a 4/0 ZWG weighted hook, swim it or fish it like a jerbait for great action. Put it on a 5/0 ZWG worm hook and it becomes an awsome top water lure. Very versatile.

This is a great lure. I actually prefer this to the chatterspike. It’s essentially the same bait, but the ballers have a ball at the end. And when used as a chatter bait trailer has more/better action than the chatterspike. They work good as a soft jerk bait (fluke style) as well. The reason I’m giving it two stars.. is because of a quality control issue. I ordered the white with a chartreuse tail. And right out of the package, all the tails are basically falling off. Where the white meets the chartreuse is holding on by a thread. And it’s the entire pack. The solid colors I purchased have no issues. This is the first defective Zman product I’ve ever received out of hundreds of purchases. And Discount tackle is basically just a middle man so I don’t blame them. Discount tackle is the best online tackle store period. Because these lures are so cheap, it’s not even worth my time to try and return ship. I’ll just buy solid colors, or dual injected (half and half) colors from now on. Just stay away from colored tails and it’s fine
