    3XD Crankbaits

    Have had awesome luck on these catching smallmouth transitioning off of Rocky shorelines into deeper water. The sexy shed and neon sexy shed colors have definitely been the way to go. My only complaint is after a few fish ( and not as many as I would have thought), it is time to change out the hooks. I have been slowly upgrading mine as they get a little dull with the Owner Stinger trebles. My only knock on them is the hooks not holding their sharpness, but for transitioning smallmouth, they have been my #1 go to in the post spawn! Something about the wobble and erratic movement has triggered some savage bites!

    A must have for Fall and Spring transition bass fishing!

    Strike King 3xd is a must have when bass are holding a little deeper in the fall and spring transitions, I picked up several colors BlueBack/Chart. for early morning/ less visibility water, Chili Craw for winter/spring/fall dirty water. Citrus fall/spring clear water. Green Gizzard Shad fall/spring clear water. Tn Shad and Tn Shad 2.0 different color variations,fall/spring I have seen times when they eat one and slap at the other. The Shizzle Fall/Spring a Great color for clear water Spotted Bass love the Shizzle!

    Nice tool in your arsenal

    I use the Strike King 5XD and 6XD for deep cranking throughout summer months but the 3XD are great to throw in the early morning hours or in the Spring or Fall periods when bass are in mid-depths. I like the Gizzard Shad on sunny days and the Sexy Shad or Blue/Chart when there is less visibility. These are also great for picking up White Bass.

    This crank is especially effective in smaller lakes (e.g.,100 to 300 acres) for largemouth bass. It is also very effective pulling cranks for crappie in large reservoirs. All of the deep diving Strike King cranks I’ve purchased thus far have run true.
