The Rapala Ultra Light Minnow 06 is a 2 1/2 inch, 1/8 ounce ultra-light jerkbait. A strong contender for becoming the new gold standard for ultra light hard baits, its weighted body allows for incredibly long casts for such a small bait. Designed to work 2-3 feet deep in the water column with slow-sinking action, it makes an excellent choice for streams, small ponds, shallow bays, and shorelines. Its unique lip design creates an enticing wobbling and rolling action and it further sets itself apart from other ultra light lures by having external etched scales, gills, and fins all perfectly in union with its 3D holographic eyes and incredible Rapala finishes. Perfect for panfish and trout, each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested for perfection right out of the box. Available in 11 trout- and panfish catchin' colors.

Shallow Trout Lure

Very good rolling action. A bit light and a rides high in the water column. It's probably best for shallow areas, surfacing trout, and creeks.

Rainbow pattern

I live in Nevada and have spent the last 5 decades fishing wherever I can in the western US when I get the chance. This rainbow pattern is the go-to, especially when you are fishing in unknown waters. This pattern along with Panther Martin holographic rainbow pattern spinners (red hooks) should be in every tackle box. They are lethal and I have caught bass, tiger muskies, bluegills, browns, cutts, rainbows, tiger trout, splakes, brookies, mackinaw, pike. walleye and even spawning cats with this pattern. A quick retrieve downstream in rivers/streams and a jerk retrieve in still ponds and lakes will almost always yield fish. A small splitshot or 2 about 15 to 18 inches up will sink this a bit and really increases the lure action (with a jig motion retrieve) if you want to go a bit deeper. Buy a few of these because within less than a season your lure will be beat up from the action. There is nothing more satisfying than hitting new water and catching fish!

Just started using light lures and brown color is one of my go to. Works great in shallow trolling or casting caught a small bluegill throwing by docks and Lilly pads.

The ULM-6 is a great bass lure

Last spring I fished the Chrome Rapala Ultralight ULM-6 at one of my favorite local fishing lakes and was surprised to catch numerous 11"-12" crappie. I did not think these size crappie existed in the lake. Just recently, I fished this same lure in a local pond (2 acres in size) in the neighborhood and caught 15 bass between 14"-16" over 4 different visits. I went out for the first time to the same local lake and caught 11 bass. Though it barely sinks, you can keep running above shallow weeds by adjusting the retrieval speed. I ordered two more Chrome, a Shad, and a Gold lure. This has become one of my favorite bass lures.
