The Rapala Pro Rain Bib is a grey and black foul-weather fishing bib designed for serious anglers who do significant amounts of foul weather fishing (e.g., guides, tournament pros). Built to live up to the Rapala name, these bibs combine the latest in outerwear technology with premium components to create a superior foul-weather protection experience for anglers.

The bibs employ a comfy, mid-weight 3-layer structure with a 100 percent Ripstop nylon shell, taslan, and mesh inner lining that is waterproof yet breathable so you don't overheat. Additionally, the bib uses tape-sealed seams, premium YKK zippers, and reflective Rapala logos for added performance and a dapper overall look.

For comfort and convenience on the water, the bib has adjustable suspenders and drawstrings on the waist, adjustable ankle cuffs with a snap-up hem, zip-to-knee side zippers, and a magnetic flap on the main zipper. The bib also offers ample pockets for storage and protection from the cold, including 2 outer cargo pockets, 2 outer lined hand-warming pockets, and 1 interior pouch pocket.

Available in sizes Extra Small through 3XL.

Bibs

Fit is good, adjustable waist is a plus- I'm not an XL but for the movement and sitting aspect this give extra room in the crotch and legs stay down over shoes or boots. Easy to adjust the shoulder straps with the lift and slide mechanism - large zipper is nice won't snag and easy to grab. Knees are reinforced and stretch. upper pockets are lightly lined leg pockets have magnetic catches and are plenty big for a phone, keys and wallet
for the money these seem to be a great value and seem to be durable enough to last for years in the boat

Lots of nice touches.

I bought the Rapala Pro Rain Jacket and Bibs. Also wrote a Discount Tackle review on the Jacket, so check that out, too. Meanwhile, the Pro Rain Bibs have lots of nice touches, just like the jacket. Lots of pockets (1 inside pounch pocket, 2 lined outside hand-warming pockets, and two magnetic-cargo pockets on the legs), suspenders to keep it fit well, clips for gear, draw strings for getting the right fit. Zippers are big and easy--one thing I like was the zippers for the legs go up high enough (to the knee) that you can put the bibs on over muck-boots style boots and then velcro to lock it down. They seem pretty tough where they won't easily get torn. Like I mentioned on the jacket, the Pro Rain jacket and bibs are definitely a good shell against rain and wind, but it is not really insulated for warmth--after all, it's breathable so not surprised here. That said, i had layers on underneath and was warm. One thing to note is to check the sizing chart and get your size based on measurements. I would have normally gone for a size L bibs and XL jacket, but looking at the sizing chart and talking to the Discount Tackle folks, it does run slightly larger fit, so when my layers underneath the rain gear, the Pro Rain gear still fit comfortably with the M bibs and L jacket. Anyway, a quality rain gear set, and it rained like hell yesterday and I stayed dry and happy enough to write a good review!
