Features:

  • The Rapala Original Floater F07 is a classic 2 3/4 inch, 1/8 ounce balsa wood jerkbait/minnow lure.
  • Twitch it on top or retrieve it as a shallow runner.
  • Wounded minnow action is irresistible to trout, walleye, bass, and more.
  • Pre-rigged with size 7 black nickel VMC® hooks.
  • Available in over 10 classic colors.

The lure that started it all - the Rapala Original Floater - is still at it all these years after Lauri Rapala first threw his cork and tinfoil prototype on a Finnish lake in 1936. This F07 model measures 2 3/4 inches, weighs 1/8 ounce and runs up to 5 feet deep unassisted. Whether twitched on top as a surface bait, retrieved as a shallow runner, weighted with a split shot for medium depth or bottom walked off a three-way swivel or bottom bouncer, the wounded minnow action continues to be irresistible to trout, walleye, bass, and panfish everywhere.

Lures come pre-rigged with size 7 premium black nickel VMC® hooks. Hand tuned and tank-tested to ensure that world renowned OG Floater action straight from the box.

Available in over 10 classic colors.

There's a reason why Rapala been around forever.

This specific color is my most successful Rapala this year. I've caught many bass in beaver ponds this year with it. I've also caught Small Mouth, Walleye, Rock Bass and a Channel Cat on this year fishing the Little Beaver River in South East Ohio this year.

These jerk baits put the hurt on monster browns and a few rainbows too. Been using them for years. Fishermen friends watch the quality and quantity of the catch and they ask, “What are those and where can I get them?” I say, “DISCOUNT TACKLE!”

Be it lake, river, stream or creek, Rapala lures get bit. I've had good luck with rainbow and brown trout patterns while fishing the Eastern Sierras in California. The original floater for shallow streams and creeks and the countdowns for deeper waters. Both have excellent swimming action and color pattern representation. I always adapt my approach and lure selection to current conditions but I never go on a freshwater adventure without them. Discount Tackle has packaged my orders safely and shipped my items on time.
