I call this lure "Old Faithful" Over the past 50 or so years I have caught more 5lb+ bass on this lure (J11) than any other lure in my tackle box. It works best when the water is warm, but I have used it successfully from Early April until late November. My favorite color is perch, but the fish don't have a favorite. They like them all.

There is nothing wrong with this lure. The only think I don't like about it is that the joint has to be double joint. A single joint makes the back section hang or dangle and it looks unrealistic. Perhaps it being a three section lure would be better. The middle section being two joint and the last section being a single joint. That would attract more fish in my opinion.

One of the most reliable lures I’ve ever owned! Whether your casting or trolling the jointed rapala catches bass/pickerel/walleye. My go to color patterns are gold/black and silver/black.
