The P-Line Laser Minnow is manufactured with a unique holographic laser tape, creating an amazingly life-like finish. The oblong shape and sharp cuts on the side allow for an erratic action when jigged. This action will trigger strikes from a number of species. This size of Laser Minnows is mostly effective in saltwater for species like striper, wahoo, tuna, dorado, ling cod, and halibut.

Measures 5 1/2 inches longs, pre-rigged with a treble hook, and available in a select range of colors.

Slapping Red Snapper with the 6 Ounce

I know, I know... don't tell people about your best fishing spots. But the ocean is really big, so maybe I can tell you about this very effective snapper (plus other species) jig since not all of you will be using it anyway. Me, I will be. This year, the Blue Pink Silver (6 oz.) just wore out some big red snapper, and really nice sized vermilion as well. On two days of back-to-back offshore snapper trips, I had so much fun catching fish with this jig. There was quite a bit of current at 120 to 150 feet down, but 6 oz went down fine and must have been giving a very natural presentation. Technique: Free spool, thumbing the reel occasionally, sending it to the bottom. Then pop-reel-pop-reel-pop up about 40 feet and let it drop again. So much nicer than having to re-bait. I might put a drop or two of Pro-Cure on it. Larger snapper slammed it. I am very impressed with P-Line's decision to make this highly effective lure. I like using their line on the flats and near jetties. Never thought of them as a lure company. Yes - 5 star rating, no doubt about it.
