I got the last two packs of the Z-Man Pearl/Pearl 3/16 ounce Trout Eye X jig heads. I tried them last weekend on the Outer Banks fishing in the sound. I finally caught a small under-slot drum and noticed the right eye was missing. So I put on a new jig head and after about ten casts and retrieves that jig head had lost an eye on the same side. In over six years of fishing EyeStrike Trout Eye jig heads in different sizes and catching hundreds of fish (trout, flounder, blue fish, drum, sea robins, skates, lizard fish, crabs, etc.) or more I have never lost an eye. Even when using pliers on a jig head with a gut hooked fish the eyes get scratched but don't fall out. I don't know if there is something with the powder coating that the eyes don't stick to but the powder coat is still in place but the eyes are missing. I'll stick with the regular Eye Strike Trout Eyes as my go-to jig head!
