Features:

  • The Rapala Scatter Rap Shad 07 is a 2 3/4 inch, 1/4 ounce medium diving crankbait that catches bass and walleye.
  • Aggressive, erratic action in the 5 to 8 foot depth range.
  • No rattles for a silent approach.
  • Pre-rigged with size 5 VMC treble hooks.
  • Can be cast or trolled.

The Rapala Scatter Rap Shad - the ultimate baitfish shape just got a bad attitude. Observing it escape while darting side-to-side is one thing, but feeling a shad bait vibrate the rod tip makes it truly unique. Baitfish skitter and scatter when they are pursued by predators it's this erratic and evasive action that triggers the strike. Made of balsa, with a custom Scatter Lip, the Scatter Rap Shad consistently swims with an erratic and evasive sweeping action perfectly mimicking vulnerable baitfish. Cast or trolled, it is the perfect choice for any species of gamefish.

I’ve used many a crankbait but this crank has something a little different to it. I’d had a lot of success using the Megabass S crank which, good for me but they are $19 a piece. You want to get a couple of colors that’s $40/60 and they are great with their erratic movement but that price can be prohibitive. I saw the Rapala Scatters were much less and had that very unique scooped bill so I gave one a try.
The movement was even more erratic and caught fish at the same clip as the Megabass…for less $. The color palate aint too bad either not as exotic as Megabass but varied enough to do the job plus let’s be honest these are fish not Mensa members I’m trying to catch so as long as there is movement, flash and some semblance of color the fish are on it and they cast pretty durn fantastic. Well worth the purchase.
Thank you for giving me the chance to review and thanks to those of you who read this review. Have a good one.
