Features:

  • The Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reel is a premium spinning reel at a real world price!
  • Featuring numerous technologies to advance your angling game!
  • The AIRDRIVE ROTOR system makes for a much lighter reel, making for much easier spinning of the rotor.
  • Daiwa's AIRDRIVE BAIL System offers a more comfortable feel when flipping the bail, and yields excellent line entanglement prevention.
  • AIRDRIVE SHAFT is a system that transfers more power from the spinning of the handle to the rotor, helping you land a monster, all while being much quieter!

The Daiwa Tatula MQ LT Spinning Reel is for anglers seeking their next premium precision spinning reel. This is a reel engineered with advanced technology and constructed of the finest materials available at a realistic, real-world price.

The Tatula MQ LT also features an AIRDRIVE ROTOR engineered to be supremely rigid with minimal flex, especially at high drag pressures. Strtegically designed cut-outs reduce the weight of the rotor, and the lighter the rotor, the less force it takes to spin the reel! The Reel's drag inertia point has been reduced by 15% thanks to the AIRDRIVE ROTOR! The weight reduction at the front of the reel greatly increases the balance when paired with your favorite spinning rod.

The Tatula MQ LT also boasts a solid AIRDRIVE BAIL, which offers more rigidity than standard wire, nearly eliminating concerns over flex, bending, or breaking. The thicker material also feels better on the fingers when flipping over the bail. The AIRDRIVE BAIL yields excellent line entanglement prevention performance too as well as a 31% reduction in weight from the standard Tatula LT's wire bail.

The Tatula MQ LT's AIRDRIVE SHAFT feature is a non-contact structure between the main shaft and the pinion gear. Both ends of pinion gear are now supported with bearings to transfer the crank power from the handle to the rotor with much more efficiency. By adding high quality collars to the main shaft, rotational noise has also been reduced. AIRDRIVE SHAFT creates the feel of smooth and quiet rotation while providing you with enhanced torque and power.

With the Tatula MQ LT you will be spinning your reel more and landing your fish, all while having a premium experience!

Best Tatula Yet!?

I've always been a Shimano go to for years, and always will be, but was looking for a 2000 light reel for jigging and Shimano just does not have it in this price range with a larger high gear for more torque. I was using a 2500 Ultegra but it's just too heavy for long days of jigging. Tried to use a Stradic 1000 and it works but feels underpowered and with 6lb it's not ideal.

Been using the Tatula 2000 model for inshore jigging with 6lb line and I can't fault it jigging for 5-6 hours non stop being so light. The only gripe is the handle has a tiny bit of play but nothing a shim can't resolve. I changed the handle to a black Titanium Gomexus with ceramic bearings and now it's perfect. I am critical of my reels and I have many including the 22 Stradic and Stella as well as other lower model Diawa's.

This is an extraordinary reel in how it feels. The shaft feels that it's spinning on air when turning the handle, something my other reels don't feel like. It's really an amazing feeling. The reel never has failed once in operation and is very light. Line management is excellent but need to add a washer to get the line lay to not taper on the top from how it came originally.

Ultra smooth and quiet. I have had many spinning reels and some around the 150 range. This is by far the smoothest I’ve had. I would give it more stars if I could.
