Features:

  • The Mule Minnow is a soft plastic minnow profile finesse bait in sizes 1.2 inches, 2.2 inches and 3.2 inches.
  • The Mule Minnow is formulated with stretchy and durable material so it can take the abuse of aggressive strikes.
  • With Mule Fishing's buoyant soft plastic formula, the Mule Minnow will float and stand up when hooked up on a jig head. It also excels as a drop shot or split shot bait.
  • Pair the Mule Minnow with the Mule Fishing Ultra-Light Finesse Jig heads and target gamefish from small panfish to even larger bass just looking for a small snack.
  • The Mule Minnow 1.2 comes 12 baits per pack, the Mule Minnow 2.2 comes 10 baits per pack and the Mule Minnow 3.2 comes 8 baits per pack.

The Mule Minnow is a versatile and buoyant minnow profile bait that you can use to target several species of gamefish. The 3.2 is effective for finesse bass applications but still small enough for big slab crappie or aggressive trout. The 2.2 inch size is the ultimate size for numerous species of fish (especially Crappie). The Mule Minnow 1.2 is a micro-offering for light line anglers who are looking to mimic small baitfish. While this tiny bait was designed to catch numerous species of fish, this is especially productive for panfish anglers. The narrow body allows the minnow to dart through the water naturally and creates a lifelike action on the fall. Due to the durability, you can fish this bait all day long without having to re-rig!

The Mule Minnow (in all sizes) pairs up with all sizes of the Mule Jig! Additionally, if you want to shorten the profile for an even smaller approach, simply cut the nose portion off of the bait. This bait also works well on a Drop Shot or Split Shot rig.

2.2 inch Dakota Sunset

I grabbed a pack of these little guys back in August. The pour wasn't the greatest and some of them ended up just being purple while others blue with a couple of them that were actually as pictured. The action was also something I haven't used. They are definitely for sinking, darting, and twitching. Straight retrieves just don't impart enough action like my paddletails do. Maybe that's self-explanatory, but I had to figure it out through trial and error.
That said, the fish like 'em. They aren't my go to bait, but since I bought them I caught about 50 fish with them. Mostly bass with some panfish thrown in. I also caught a huge white bass on one. Just to chalk up another species. They're also very durable. They just don't break. The only reason I went through half the pack was losing jigs in the creek. Other baits get ripped pretty easily, but I haven't lost one to damage yet.
I'll be getting some more of these bad boys.

My new favorite bait!

The mule minnow 2.2 is my new favorite bait. It’s extremely durable; the color selection is spot on and the action is second to none. I fish these on a 1/32 mule jig and it just catches fish after fish. You can fish it a lot of ways but I prefer to let it sink and twitch it off the bottom. Like all mule fishing products this is just a top notch bait from a top notch company.

A little bait that could

The minnow bait for its size has a lot of action. The jig heads the hook size seems perfect. Very impressive.
