Troll great , caught a few trout still using them in different lakes, I have always have had good luck with yo-Zuri lures.
I used the Baby Pop X in PM Hot Gill at a high pressure Conservation area lake and caught 9 decent bass from the bank in about an hour and a half of fishing. I had fished there several times and never had a single bite. My son was fishing next to me the whole time with a chug bug and didn’t get a single bite, so I’d hook one and let him reel it in, we had a blast! So much so that I came home and ordered another Hot Gill and a Juvy Gill so we can double up next chance we get! These lures are beautiful and functional, and they will be my stepping off point from fishing with ultralite spinning reels to journeying into a true BFS setup!
You can literally catch anything on these baits. I primarily use these 5in baits for summer fishing for striped bass in the Chesapeake Bay. They also catch white perch, spotted seatrout, bluefish, spanish mackerel, red drum, northern snakeheads, largemouth bass, chain pickerel, and catfish. What's not to love about this?!
