ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.
ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.
The soft stickbait that started it all: the Gary Yamamoto Senko. First developed back in the early '90s by the man himself, the Senko and soft plastic stickbaits like it quickly transitioned from hot fad to staple soft bait no self respecting bass angler would leave the house without.
Though many competitors have tried, the "seductive shimmy" they produce on the fall is hard to replicate - the product of a proprietary blend of salt and soft plastic closely guarded by Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits. The standard Senko's success also beget several variations, including the paddle tail Swim Senkos, the drop-shot-ready thin-tailed Pro Senko, and the newest Ned rig-friendly offering: the 3 inch Fat Senko.
These have replaced the Streakz for me as my favorite Topwater Bait. Subtle twitch and walk the dog when fished with a 4/0 EWG hook. It skip casts well and I can put it where most never fish. Sometimes I even yank them out from back there. 30 pound straight Braid gives you a chance. Of course, great on a Chatterbait, like it was made for them😎
good baits, l catch seven fish in two days on one bait
I like them and they catch fish, but you better be careful if you just bump them. The bill will come off.
