I've been using Smithwick Floating Rattlin Rogues for Striped Bass in freshwater for years. VERY effective in the Spring (although it is a good idea to change out the hooks for stronger ones. I've had many of the manufacturer's hooks straightened). I use the Tiger Roan color, although not all tackle supply houses carry it. I found it at Discount Tackle, and to my delight it was 15% less expensive than everywhere else! On top of that, I ordered on 2/2 and my order was delivered on 2/4. Amazing, Oregon to Pennsylvania in 2 days. I ordered other stick baits too, and they were also less expensive than other sites. No doubt I will visit Discount Tackle again.

I've been fishing these rogues most of my life. I live in north Louisiana and back in the late 80's I had the privilege of meeting Mr. Jack Smithwick. He used to have his shop in Shreveport. Best year round bait, but really shows off in spring and early summer.
