The Berkley Frittside Crankbaits are a series of shallow and medium diving flat-sided crankbaits developed by crankbait guru and 1X Bassmaster Classic Winner David Fritts.
The Frittside features a flat-sided body that exhibits a tight, thumping swimming action that is unbelievably effective at triggering bites when fish are especially sluggish, like during the winter time or when heavily pressured by other anglers. Despite being made of durable plastic, the Frittside's action is remarkably reminiscent of a balsa wood crankbait too and provides anglers an affordable alternative to pricey custom balsa wood crankbaits.
The Frittside comes pre-rigged with Berkley Fusion19 treble hooks and is available in over 10 colors and 5 size/dive depth variations: Frittside 5, Frittside 7, and Frittside 9 (see table below for details).

I have caught so many bass on the lone ranger and the sexy back square bill here in NC. It's often the first lure tide on my crank rod. The bills are fragile but the lure catches fish.

Best Lake Erie crank baits
The berkley frittside has been the best Lake Erie crank bait for big large and smallmouth bass the last few years. This past year we were even catching nice walleye and steelhead with them.
The Nessie 7 works as described and designed. Pause the bait, then two quick reel handle turns and pause again works best for me. 12lb XL mono gives the bait the best action for me and keeps the bait higher in the water column during slow retrieves and long pauses.
Discount Tackle has good prices and ships quicker than any tackle online store I have purchased from. I live in a rural area and sometimes wait 7 days for items to arrive, but Discount Tackle items arrives in two days, sometimes three max. Highly recommend Discount Tackle.
So...I'm working in Portland (I live in San Diego), have a little time to burn and google nearby fishing shops...Discount Tackle is 7 miles away, but not thinking it was THE Discount Tackle. I drive out to the middle of nowhere (lol) and here's the store, lol. Turned out to be their showroom and MONSTER warehouse! LeAnna helped w my purchase, Raul came out and offered to show me the warehouse...WOW! Super nice people and was shown the hot, new, low priced, Big Bass Killer Bait...bought the remaining two! These are my new favourite bass lure. They have been smashing this DieZel minnow fished over lily pads and in the weeds. Very durable also. Rarely breaks or rips.
these clips allows u to change baits multiple times in less time than it takes to re-tie one lure. It also adds life to the lure as it is pulled thru the water.
