The Daiwa Proteus Winn Camo Wrap Casting Rods are a new Proteus sub-series of saltwater conventional casting rods. Crafted in partnership with Winn Corporation (makers of the super-sticky Winn Grips found on golf clubs, tennis rackets, and other sporting equipment), these rods feature Winn Grip technology that helps you firmly and securely grip your rod during even the fiercest fish fights in the roughest conditions. The rod's power and action were designed with lots of input from saltwater anglers who fish off the coast of California and prefer rods with a lot of backbone and strength, but a very fast tip. Nonetheless, this design is sure to be effective on the East Coast and in the Gulf of Mexico too.

The HVF Carbon Technology constructed blank is lighter and stronger than conventional materials, making it well suited to the demands of intense coastal fishing. Additionally, X-45 Carbon Bias Technology resists twisting and distortion as the blank loads up, maintaining bend accuracy regardless of whether your casting or winching in a fish. The blank is set-up with Fuji FazLite Tangle Free K-Guides that further facilitate long, accurate casting and have a small footprint. There's also a Fuji Back Stop Lock Nut System that firmly attaches the reel and never backs off. Winn Grip is wrapped with a custom black and white marbled camo pattern.

Available in 6 rod length/power/action variations.

Great Rod

I took my PRWNC76HF paired with a Lexa 400 reel to Cedros Island, Hooked and landed a 66.5lb broomtail grouper. The rod handled the big fish without issue.
