Evergreen International Combat Stick Casting Rods are a series of tournament-grade bass casting rods developed in conjunction with MLF Bass Pro Tour Angler and designer of the famed Z-Man Evergreen Jack Hammer ChatterBait, Brett Hite. The Combat Stick brings top-tier, Japanese tournament bass fishing performance to a sub-$200 rod stateside. They're built with super lightweight, yet sturdy, blanks that offer finely tuned performance focused on responsiveness and power.

The rods are fitted with Fuji Alconite guides and a lightweight Fuji reel seat for next-level line management and rod control. Each model is also fine-tuned to match its listed technique, making it easy for you to dial in your favorite presentations with a rod that's perfectly suited to throwing that bait/technique. For unbeatable looks, the rods also have a forest green camo pattern on their EVA foam grips and carbon fiber accents.

Available in 8 models, including 2 glass models, with different specifications optimized for popular bass techniques.

The chatterbait rod!

Been wanting one of the b hite heavy glass chatterbait rods for a while so I was very happy to finally get my hands on one! It came packaged wonderfully, even had it's own custom rod sock!
After handling it, the rod is a stout thing of beauty. I'd been using the St Croix mojo glass (green blank) in medium heavy for my chatterbaits this year. I was expecting this combat stick rod to maybe be a bit lighter but it isn't. It's still a pretty heavy rod but that isn't a huge negative to me. If I did have to pick out a legit negative it would be that I've searched all over the rod but can't find a bait keeper anywhere! That's a major bummer because I hate using my reel to hook baits. Disappointed that I spent 200 on a glass rod and now I have to find an aftermarket bait keeper to attach on it. C'mon b hite...
