The Berkley Frittside Crankbaits are a series of shallow and medium diving flat-sided crankbaits developed by crankbait guru and 1X Bassmaster Classic Winner David Fritts.
The Frittside features a flat-sided body that exhibits a tight, thumping swimming action that is unbelievably effective at triggering bites when fish are especially sluggish, like during the winter time or when heavily pressured by other anglers. Despite being made of durable plastic, the Frittside's action is remarkably reminiscent of a balsa wood crankbait too and provides anglers an affordable alternative to pricey custom balsa wood crankbaits.
The Frittside comes pre-rigged with Berkley Fusion19 treble hooks and is available in over 10 colors and 5 size/dive depth variations: Frittside 5, Frittside 7, and Frittside 9 (see table below for details).

The berkley frittside has been the best Lake Erie crank bait for big large and smallmouth bass the last few years. This past year we were even catching nice walleye and steelhead with them.
The 4.8" size is my favorite for two reasons. 1) It makes an outstanding swim jig trailer for when you need a bigger profile. 2) It fishes weightless extremely well! This bait has caught me so many fish; it's got the right profile, feel, and action that bass can't resist. Need an awesome night fishing bait? Pick any dark color, run it on a heavy gauge 4/0 EWG, and have yourself a good ol' time!
This is a great Swim Jig. It's caught me so many big fish throughout the years. Out of all the colors, "Reaction Chart" has been my go-to! The 5/8oz is great for fishing fast or in deeper water. Pair it up with a 4.8" Keitech, and it's lights out every time! If you like to catch big fish, I highly recommend this combo. Thanks for carrying all the colors and sizes Discount Tackle! On the Outer Banks of NC fish tend to move to wintering waters as the temps fall. Sometimes with consequences depending upon water temperatures. Once located consider down sizing baits.
