The fritt 5 is one of the best flat sided square bill cranks on the market. When you find baits like this is easier to minimalize your tackle and stick with a few different baits.

Second review is about the Berkley Fritz Side Square bill! This little bait gets bit when nothing else does. It runs very true in the water. The fish hit it hard. I fish a lake with a ton of pressure and this bait just gets it done for me.

The crankbait runs true and looks good in the water. It is weighted enough to cast into the wind no problem. Seems to be a good crankbait.
I had one in the box with Yozuri, Shimano and Daiwa equivalent lures. As soon as my guide saw this Rapala he grabbed it and started using it. He caught many cabrilla in the rocks, and large yellowtail in open water. At the end of the trip I asked him why he chose that one and he stated "because it works!"
It sure did, I was happy to see him filling our boat with nice quality fish. So I ordered 2 more bunker color, and 2 other colors for my next trip. Discount Tackle had best prices and fast processing and delivery.
This line seems to be a great middle-of-the-road value. There are certainly less expensive and significantly more expensive lines, but for the cost, this one casts really well, the line strength seems correct, knots hold correctly, and the color does not come off. Like all parts of a good fishing system, if selected to be in balance with the rod, reel, and lure weight, this product performs perfectly.
I have bought several different kinds of crankbaits but I have caught more and mostly bigger fish on these little John’s than any other. They are great !!
