Z-Man Trout Eye jigheads are 1/8 ounce jigheads with 2/0 Mustad UltraPoint hooks that are designed to tap into inshore predators hunting instincts by mimicking a fish eye. Developed by South Carolina seatrout fishing guru Ralph Phillips, the Trout Eye Jighead is the ideal jighead for inshore saltwater fishing. Scientific research has shown that gamefish key in on the eye of a baitfish and that a visible eye is a critical determining factor in their decision whether or not to strike. Offshore anglers have recognized this fact for years and have consequently incorporated large eyes on many trolling lures designed for pelagic species.

Built with the largest eye possible for this jig size, the Trout Eye Jighead allows inshore anglers to capitalize on gamefish's instinctive feeding habits. Perfectly balanced for use with a variety of soft plastic bait styles, Trout Eye Jigheads feature dual, super-sharp keeper spikes that hold even 10X Tough ElaZtech plastics securely. Available in 5 colors, 3 jigheads per pack.

    Good for Zman Plastics

I ordered these for Gulp Jerk Shad and find they tear too easily.

    Great short shank hook

These are great for Z-man MinnowZ, but I also like them for Berkley Gulp Swimming Mullets, which I find lots of other jig heads to be too long for and interfere with the tail.

    Best jig head by far

These Z-Man jig heads are without question the best you can buy. The big eyes seem to help attract fish better than the plain red, chartreuse, white jig heads. They are a little more expensive but are made in the USA, have much sharper hooks, and last forever. I'll never use anything else.

    ZMAN Jig heads

These jig heads work great with the small ZMAN swimbait bodies. Baits stay on the head like they are glued, sharp hook that is big enough for larger bass.

    Great Jig Heads

These jig heads are my main stay heads. They stay sharp and hold lure very well. After several fish have been fought the lure will start coming off which is typical. The hook will always stay sharp.
