ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.
ALL DAY. EVERY DAY.
Fred Arbogast was one of the true pioneers of the fishing lure industry. As with so many who enter the lure business, it began as a hobby. Arbogast began by carving lures for himself and friends while employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
As his lures began to become popular with area anglers, some of the local tackle shops began asking if they could buy them to sell in their stores. Soon after, Arbogast became aware that he was really on to something. Armed with this new-found popularity and confidence in his lures, he resigned from Goodyear and decided to enter the lure business in earnest…that was in 1926. Two years later, the Fred Arbogast Company was officially formed.
Today Arbogast is known best for their Hula Popper skirted topwater poppers and Jitterbug wakebaits, both of which are excellent topwater choices for bass, redfish, pike, and more!
One amazing lure. Have caught some monsters. Using these baits. Great big bass catcher.
i caught so many fish with the 17mr i lost count this is a excellent lure.
But a Whopper Plopper from Discount Tackle. Product didn't arrive (not their fault) so I contacted them. They were super fast in resolving my issue by sending me a new lure. Super recommended.
Cheers
I have had great results with the joy stick. It works well on a drop shot or a shakey head, and can wackey rigged as well. I think the rabbit ears add to the presentation and the donkey sauce scent draws them in. The only negative is the durability, they only last 2 or 3 bites before tearing.
I use them for walleye and sauger fishing. They work really well . Well balanced and the wire hook allows for a good hook up without a hard hook set.
