The Yo-Zuri Hydro Monster Shot is a lead-filled stick bait designed for long casting and versatility. Small sizes from the 3 1/8 inch 1 ounce all the way to the big 5 inch 2 1/8 ounce.
With the Hydro Monster Shot, you can jig, you can skip, you can cast and retrieve slow or fast, and even twitch.
Featuring a wide wobbling action as it sinks, it also has a sharp darting action when jerked. This is especially useful when you long-cast launch the Hydro Monster Shot and want to vary the retrieve.
Equipped with rugged saltwater-grade rings and hooks, as well as through-wire construction, finished with a lead filling, the Hydro Monster Shot is almost indestructible as it is versatile!

The Yo-Zuri Hydro Monster Shot is the most versatile hard bait on the market. It can be fished from the surface to the bottom, and everywhere in between, in a 100+ ft of water. It's a heavy weighted lipless stick bait, that falls in a horizontal posture, with a side-to-side wobble that perfectly mirrors a dying baitfish. On a straight retrieve it has wide wobble action, when jigged or twitched it has a sharp darting action and when burned across the surface, it has a skipping action that resembles a fleeing bait. Through wire construction, a durable lead filled body and triple strength saltwater grade treble hooks, quality throughout. It comes in 7 color patterns and 4 sizes to cover everything from Spanish Mackerel and Bonita inshore, to Blackfin and Yellowfin Tuna offshore. I bought this lure to be able to launch it out in the surf in Pensacola to catch Spanish Mackerel and it definitely doesn’t disappoint! I’ve caught Spanish, and many other species with this lure

Great for surf fishing
Very well made and casts a mile. I did replace the treble hooks with VMC inline single hooks. Definitely a good lure to have in the tackle box.

Had this off the stern of my sailboat in the mouth of the West River/ Chesapeake Bay....Nailed a 26" striper!!!
Picked up two of the 1/2 oz Midnight Blue Jigs and started catching fish immediately! Paint chips with consistent bottom contact but that's expected. Was fishing a steep rocky bank and didn't get hung up once. The weed guard and line tie positioning helps this bait crawl through nasty structure with ease. Equipped with a sharp 5/0 Gamakatsu Hook, those fish didn't go anywhere once hooked! Great full-size jig, with some unique colors. Recommend!
Used it as a trailer behind a Dobyns Extreme Series Football Jig, and it performed well! The MaxScent formula helps get more strikes, in my opinion. Caught 5 total LMB on my latest outing and only went through one bait! Noticed the bass consistently biting the Stank Bug on the drop, and they kept pecking at it until they got the whole jig in their mouth. I would recommend this bait to anybody looking to fill out their jig profile. Use a heavier jig to really get those claws moving! Thanks, Discount Tackle.
