Colorful hooks

I prefer tying Gamakatsu color hooks #2 when making walleye harnesses. Discount tackle has great prices.

Hamamatsu hooks are great right out of the package

I bought these assorted color size 8 hooks for crappie and panfish and was not disappointed. My first surprise was how sharp the hooks were right out of the package. After years of unpacking dull factory hooks requiring filing before I would consider tying them on my line, I was thrilled how sharp thes hooks come. I am still experimenting with colors but have had most success with red and blue ( perhaps our local crappie are patriotic). My final surprise was the 15 inch large mouth I landed using these tiny hooks. I will make sure I always have these in my box and plan to use them in the upcoming walleye opener trip to Minnesota
