Dobyns Sierra Spinning Rods are a series of 1-piece bass spinning rods. With a price point in between the Fury and the Champion XP Series, the Sierra hits a sweet spot in quality by using a design that improves on the performance of the Fury while reducing overall cost by scaling back on all the cosmetic and comfort upgrades of the Champion XP. The result is a bass fishing purist's dream: a rod that offers incredible sensitivity and power at a price point within reach of any bass angler dedicated to honing their craft.

The Sierra Series blanks are made with high modulus graphite blanks that effectively balance strength and sensitivity. The blanks are finished off with durable yet precise Fuji Alconite guides, a Fuji reel seat, and Portuguese AA Cork split grips.

Beautiful Spinning Rod

This rod is very light, balanced and well made. The packaging from Discounttackle was awesome. Heavy duty tube, plenty of bubble wrap, rod in perfect shape. I would not hesitate to purchase another Dobyns rod from Discounttackle

Great rod. More surprised by the packaging it arrived in. I had previously ordered a rod on Amazon and it was shipped in a flimsy rectangular box, and had bent eyes. The rod I received from D.T. was packaged better than what I receive from Tackle Warehouse.

I may be making more purchases directly @ D.T. moving forward.

Dobyns Heavy action Spinning rod

I ordered the Doybns Heavy action spinning rod for some open water top water action and also to throw jigs and texas rigged worms and craws. (I'm a old scholl spinning rod guy) The rod is super sensative, and when paired with 25# braid has an outstanding hook up ratio. Also outstanding is Discount Tackles customer service. There was a mix up with what was actually in stock. So I ordered another rod instead. I was contacted by Evan from customer service and was sent the rod that I had wanted originally. He went above and beyond to get me what I wanted. Thank you Evan and Discount Tackle!
