The Mustad No-Twist Drop Shot Hook is a light wire, round bend drop shot hook with a Mini Swivel Rig pre-attached to the hook eye. When fishing the dropshot, working your soft plastic worm or bait along the bottom, line twisting can present a problem. Mustad solved this with its fine wire No-Twist Mini Swivel Rig. Just tie your weight to one end of the swivel with a short mono line, and the other to the mainline. The hook should always be with the hook point upwards, optimizing hookups. It leaves the hook and bait free to rotate a complete 360º with no line twisting at all.

Use it to target bass, panfish, perch, or trout in rivers, lakes, or canals. Chemically sharpened, Nor-Tempered high carbon steel.

Drop shot hook

I have noticed less line twist, I still use traditional setup either way you choose can’t go wrong but this does keep the hook in upright position pretty well

In my opinion this thin wire hook penetrates easier than other hooks and the barb keeps bass hooked with no line twist at all.

Great for Vertical Presentations

This hook is great for vertical applications, but casting and retrieving seems to allow the hook to swivel back around and disrupt the presentation quite a bit. This might not matter all that much for a worm, but I prefer the most natural presentation possible with a minnow imitation on my dropshot, and this isn't it for me.
