Excellent product !

I have three Rapala Floating Fish Grippers…..2 small and a large one. One small gripper is attached to my digital weighing scale. The other two are used when I fish treble hook lures, specifically for keeping my hands safely away from the treble hooks as I hoist fish to remove the lure. After you experience a single emergency room hook removal, you will probably consider ways to avoid a future similar experience.

Rapala Fish Grip

Large grippers were great for gripping fish. Once I changed boats, I used the gripper to lock my hand towel onto the 1 inch tubing on the front casting deck. After a while, it stretched out the gripper and would no longer grip the fish properly. My fault, not the products fault, but pretty pricey for a piece of plastic in my opinion.

Great lure for Gulf of California

I had one in the box with Yozuri, Shimano and Daiwa equivalent lures. As soon as my guide saw this Rapala he grabbed it and started using it. He caught many cabrilla in the rocks, and large yellowtail in open water. At the end of the trip I asked him why he chose that one and he stated "because it works!"

It sure did, I was happy to see him filling our boat with nice quality fish. So I ordered 2 more bunker color, and 2 other colors for my next trip. Discount Tackle had best prices and fast processing and delivery.

Good Value

This line seems to be a great middle-of-the-road value. There are certainly less expensive and significantly more expensive lines, but for the cost, this one casts really well, the line strength seems correct, knots hold correctly, and the color does not come off. Like all parts of a good fishing system, if selected to be in balance with the rod, reel, and lure weight, this product performs perfectly.
