Best reel I've ever owned

Last month I purchased the Daiwa BG2500 saltwater version after a lot of research. I noted that it was extremely smooth in its operation, which I hope will remain that way over the years. I spooled it up with Sunline Super FC Sniper 8-pound fluorocarbon, and fastened it to a new 7-foot Temple Fork Outfitters Trout and Panfish rod, and went fishing with it today to see how well it would do. I used several different types of lures to get a feel for how it would respond to casting those. The reel employs several features, but the one I liked the most was the long cast spool, combined with the rod I was able to cast ultralight lures significantly further than I could before with an older 1000 size ultralight reel (and matching rod) that also had a long cast spool from a different manufacture. The surprising thing was, there wasn't much size difference between my 1000 size ultralight and this Daiwa BG2500; I also like the fact that it was made for saltwater, which means it has better seals than a freshwater only reel, the bearings are treated corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and will be virtually impervious to corrosion. While playing with a lot of store demo models of all sorts of brands, the Daiwa had a lighter crank feel to it than others, yet it felt more solid than the others, it didn't have a cheap feel is the only way I can describe it. The reel weighs around 10 ounces, I used it all day, I'm 66 years old and it didn't fatigue me, but I'm not like a lot of people, I just didn't find this reel to be as heavy feeling as some reviews quipped about. Today the panfish were sleeping in the lake I went to, but did catch a 1-pound small mouth bass (I released the fish due to size), the reel performed excellently, the drag worked wonderfully, it has a 13.3-pound drag, but I'm only using 8-pound test so the drag is more than good enough for my needs. I believe this is the best reel you can buy for the money, and according to reviews I read they all agree, which is why I bought it, and you should seriously consider this reel to be your next reel.
