Rapala Line Remover

Works as advertised.

Great product. Removes several hundred yards of old line in well under a minute when it used to take 10 minutes and sore hands from wrapping the line around them. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the line just shoots out the other side of the device without in any way being collected. If you don't shoot the line directly into a trash can, it will go all over the place and make a mess.

as good if not better than my previous 3 i change line alot

This line stripper does what it says it will--strips line, but I expected more from the price and a Rapala product. For one, you needed a mini phillips screwdriver to access the battery compartment, which is never a good start when batteries aren't included. My bigger problem was the touted "hook sharpener" had already broken off and was rattling around the package when it arrived. I was able to glue it back on, though I don't have a lot of confidence that it will stay attached. I didn't return it because I didn't buy it for the hook sharpener. On the plus side, when my wife asked me what was in the package, I was able to smile and say (honestly) "a mail order stripper."

Call me lazy but as I start pushin' 60 I dont have the time or energy to do this by hand like the young bucks out there so this thing is a real time saver for old farts like me.I would give it a five if it could handle my larger diameter lines.
