The Mustad TG76 KVD Elite Triple Grip Treble is a 2X short shank, 1X strong version of Mustad and KVD's Triple Grip series of trebles. The specially engineered shape of the Mustad® KVD Elite Series Triple Grip® Hook combines exceptional hooking and holding capability with outstanding strength. Based upon the original Triple Grip® series, the modified design of Kevin VanDam features a precise shape that almost locks a fish into the elbow of the bend, making it virtually impossible to throw the hook.
The precise point alignment provides for an optimal angle of point impact, which leads to increased power at hook set. One important bonus is that the angled shape makes this hook less prone to snagging on structure than round bend trebles. The 2X short shank eliminates hook tangling and allows you to use larger hooks. Use it on your favorite heavier freshwater crankbaits to get more hookups. The 1X extra heavy wire provides all the strength you need to tackle big fish.
