Daiwa J-Braid X4 Braided Line 300 Yards Dark Green

I've been using J Braid for several years. It used to be an incredible bargain, but in the last couple years the price has come up quite a bit to be equal to all the other over priced lines in today's market. But, you need line, so whataya gonna do? Having said that, J Braid X4 is my go to for Frog Fishing and Flipping/Punching. The 4 strand line is not as limp as the 8, but it is more abrasion resistant. It holds it's color for about a year, then it starts to fade. No better or worse than any other premium braid I've used. I have NEVER had the 50 lb break in all the years I've used it in all the nastiest areas I can find. I use either J Braid X8 or Sufix 832 with a fluoro leader for my spinning set ups. Five Star line minus 1 star for the price increase.

can’t ever go wrong with jbraid. i’ve tried many brands all at same or similar dia. and lb test. of braided line, and i always was feeling like i had to go home and learn some new knot. why was i snapping off constantly? I had a friend recommend some JBraid x4 over x8, said it was stronger around the rock shelf’s we would fish around for lingcod. definatly noticed a difference in my fishing days going home with my limits and no lures lost or no fish snapping off. easy to tie on and gives you all the power in a good fight. love just hooking into a fish hiding in rock shelf’s then just popping him out no problem with this braid. i’ve never had issues with it starting to get frayed after months of the same line on. overall strong choice strong line, go bag some fish.

Jay braid was too limp for use on custom bass rods with micro guides. The line also frayed when citing it to tie on baits.

So far satisfied. Line looks good. Much better then the mono line!
