I never really had any interest in these, but bought some on sale on a whim. I put one on an ultralight and headed to a local trout lake that had not been stocked yet this year. After no luck on my usual suspect lures, I threw out the gold/black Snap Bean. Pleasantly surprised by catching 2 wild trout and 2 kokanee, (Yes, kokanee at 1-1/2 deep. The water is still cold). I found that I had to troll these much slower than I usually troll, or they go on their side and come up near the surface. .8 to .9 MPH was the sweet spot. Looking forward to hitting the same lake with the grandson after it is stocked next week with a couple of these tied on.
