    Just the tip

When you want a bait to dive quicker in a head first orientation you have to things to decide. Stealth or noise. I choose these cause they can be burried in head of a senko style worm and not cause a clink sound on a hard surface when they hit bottom startling finicky fish. I started doing this with a wacky hook in shasta at 30-50 ft deep in 2009-2011 during the college fishing tournaments.

    Nail Weights

A Neko rig with a 1/32 oz. nail weight has performed very well for me. I often fish tidal rover waters with significant current, and the weight really helps. It works well in lakes and nontidal waters as well. The design of the VMC nail weight makes it less likely to come out when a fish is fighting or when it is snagged. Nonetheless, I use a drop of super glue to secure the weight in the Senko worm.

    Great weight

Had a lot of success this year with the Neko Rig. Had used the half moon weights and decided to give these a shot. Work well. Prefer these in grassier situations and the alf Mon in rockier. Stay in worm well.

    Chicken rig

I watched a really informative video with Ike icanelly(spelling). He showed me how to rig the chicken rig and the tools I will need. The VMC Neko weight was one of the tools I must have. Thanks to you I now have 10 packs. That should be plenty to get me and my partner out catching quality fish on the “chicken rig”. Fast shipping and great communication!

    Neko Rigging with Worm Harness

I used these twice in the end of a 5" Yamamoto Senko with a worm harness. I liked how the neko nail made my senko sort of spiraled and fluttered erratic on the way down, however, i had two good strikes where I felt like the bass got leverage grabbing the nail, and pulled the senko right out of the worm harness! Didn't have that problem with the wacky rig! Might need to hook through the senko next time. Or maybe I'm just Neko challenged? Otherwise, the nail went right into the worm and it spiraled and fluttered as expected.
