Features:

  • The Owner Mosquito Light Hook is designed for ultra-light fishing conditions.
  • Ideal for rigging finesse-type baits and small live baits.
  • Owner's Super Needle Points guarantee long-lasting performance.
  • Super hard black chrome finish for maximum durability.
  • Available in 7 sizes.

Owner might just have the perfect hook for dropshotting. The Owner Mosquito Light Hook is an ultra-light fine wire hook with a bent down eye that allows the hook to come off the line at an angle that exposes the hook point for perfect hooksets. Additionally, an incredibly sharp point and large-radius round bend allow faster and deeper penetration, and a super hard black chrome finish ensures maximum durability.

A great choice for drop shots and small live baits, they are also great hooks for targeting trout, bluegill, and crappie in addition to bass.

Available in 7 different sizes to suit any fishing condition.

Just got these but, they look small!

Got these today after thinking the 1/0 size I use normally wasn't getting bit any more. My lake got real clear in the Fall and like any fisherman searching for a poor Fall bite answer, I thought maybe my 1/0 hook I mention in another review needed downsizing. I haven't used these size 1's yet but, they look very small to me. I have Gamakatsu's that are very similar in size to these but, I got these due to the light wire. Let me tell you, the difference in the thickness of the wire is noticeable between the Owner 1/0 and size 1! If you're having trouble keeping your bait horizontal and/or are going for small mouth bass the size 1 is definitely for you. I like the 1/0 sizing better for large mouth due to the wider gap. In my photos you can see the size difference between the Owner light wire Mosquito hook in sizes 1/0 and 1 and I've included the Gamakatsu size 1 hook for comparison. The dime is for reference.

    Great for drop shot fishing!

These are all I use for drop shot fishing now. The light weight allows the hook to sit more horizontally without the added weight. They are sticky sharp. I wish my local stores carried these as I'd love to compare sizes. I use the 1/0 now but, would like to compare without having to purchase both sizes.

    Sharpest hooks ever

I have used owner hooks forever in bass jigs. I decided to try the mosquito hooks for bluegill. There is no need to even set the hook. 90% hook themselves. Be careful these hooks points are so sharp they will cut your fingers.
