Drop the jig down to the bottom, then crank it up 30 feet off the bottom and free spool. Or cast the jig and let it fall while free spooling, wait for the bite, then jerk it and repeat. The center balanced jig falls with a wobbling action in a horizontal position, keeping the strike zone longer than other slow pitch jigs. The Shimano Butterfly Flat Fall Jig is the "gold standard" which other flat fall jigs are measured against. If you're going to make the effort (time and expense) to go some 30 to 50 miles (or further) offshore, are you going to go "cheap", or be willing to spend $20 for the top of the line flat fall jig? That math is easy. These flat falls are amazing fish catching tools for snapper, tuna, kings. Highly recommend.

Shimano flat fall
Shimano glow is killing it on 100# plus bluefin tuna this week. I bought and my son caught his first 100 plus tuna. Definitely want to have this in tackle bag when going on long range fishing triceps.

I searched site after site looking for this exact Rod to put to the test. Discount Tackle had it and at a good price. The shipping packaging was excellent and arrived on time as stated.
With 1 brand new hollow bodied frog, the second cast , a bass ripped a hole and the skirt out of the frog, the other brand new frog I had another bass ripped the skirt out of the frog, so now I had to order more
It’s basically totally camo in stained water. Super smooth and might have to be my new go to through the summer. We had a ton of rain over the spring and our usual clear conditions are staying stained. Great time for Hidden!
Used 1 of these on a 3 day spec and redfish trip and it caught more specs and took no damage, where as the "other" brand shrimp got tore up and were useless after catching 2-3 fish where this looked like it was still brand new after 20 specs. I am a believer. just bought another pack off of amazon to be able to share them with more fishing buddys.
Couldn't believe the Xzones movement, it's incredible. Love the flatten tail-end. Looks amazing and at the right price! I'll be buying more from Discount Tackle.
