Storm soft plastics

The Storm eels, 360 series, minnows, and swim baits are awesome. I have only used them in saltwater so far but I am sure they will dominate in freshwater as well. They are great products. Though I do wish they came in heavy weights (1 to 3 ounces). If you ever have trouble finding the exact color size and model you need just go to Rapala's website. Storm is a sister company and all Rapala, Storm, and VMC products are sold there.

Catching vs Casting

No doubt that Wild-Eye sand eels catch fish, especially stripers, bluefish, seabass, and weakfish. The color selection helps match-the-hatch, with the blue-back for spring herring runs, and the olive when menhaden move in. They can be hard to cast especially into the wind though, even a moderate wind, because of the lure profile. Bluefish tear them up way to fast to ever tie on a second one after a blue shreds the one you're fishing. Good lure for slow trolling stripers in rivers.
