I ordered on the 15th and was told I would receive it on the 26th. It is the 17th and have received my order. Everything in the order is as it should be. Now if the weather would cooperate so I could get in some time fishing.

Great travel set up!

I’ve use it several times and I will say I like the rod very much. The reel is not as good as the other I have but still like it. The case doubles as a tackle box with room for all you need in the zipper compartment and comes with a small plastic bait storage box. I am extremely happy with this and would buy it again.

Best pack rod.

This is, so far, the best pack rod I've purchased, and I've purchased 6 others. This one came up on the top due to the case it comes in. Now the rod pieces fit rather weirdly inside, but that was remedied easily. Price was decent as well. Good action for a multi-piece.

Major design flaw for a pack rod

While the case, reel and construction of this package are great, the guides on the upper reaches of the rod do not allow for even the smallest of snap swivels to pass through. While i realize the purpose of this is to help avoid snarls and to fit the ceramic liners, this is an annoying part of using this rod. The plan for this rod was to travel with it inside a pack or travel bag and other than fitting the rod together, be ready to fish. Not letting you keep a snap on the line requires cutting the line from the lure or swivel and retying it whenever the rod is put in the case. Instead of slipping the snap over the reel bail to hold it, the loose line needs to be secured to the reel with tape or a rubber band, again doable, just a pain.

Diawa Quality

I ordered this travel package because of Diawa's outstanding quality and I am not disappointed. I have trusted Diawa quality and performance for years fishing for all types of fish but mostly Trout, Panfish and Bass. It is Diawa's quality that always brings me back. Now I can more easily carry a rod and reel with me in my suitcase to Hawaii where I plan to fish from a Kayak in lagoons and inlets. I can not wait to get there!
