Daiwa Rebellion Casting Rods are a new series of premium, tournament-grade bass fishing casting rods. Daiwa developed the Rebellion series of rods to embody an innovative, mold-breaking spirit that elevates rod performance without also jacking up the product's price. Designed and crafted with the aesthetics, build specifications and features of custom high-end rods, yet priced just under a $200 MSRP, these rods are one of Daiwa's new flagship offerings for serious freshwater bass anglers.

All models feature Daiwa's Braiding-X technology to prevent torsion caused by repeated casting and powerful hooksets, which in turn facilitates dramatically improved power, operability, and sensitivity over the life of the rod. Rebellion rods are also equipped with Daiwa's X45 Technology, which consists of a 45-degree bias construction that prevents twisting of the blank for greater strength, sensitivity, and hook setting power.

Additionally, as opposed to standard carbon rods, which have a higher resin content in the space between the carbon fibers, Daiwa's HVF (High Volume Fiber) rods such as these are made of a carbon fiber compound with less resin. By reducing the amount of resin in the blank, the rods are significantly lighter and more sensitive.

Rounding out the impressive list of high end technologies, the Rebellion rods feature Daiwa's Air Sensor reel seat. This reel seat is built using a carbon fiber material to maximize sensitivity and power, while also lowering overall rod weight.

Available in 7 rod length, power, and action variations designed to have you covered for all major bass fishing techniques and presentations.

Daiwa Rebellion Rods

Pretty simple; These rods fish above their price point, which makes them an exceptionable value! I bought one 3 yrs ago and really liked it. Bought 3 more this year and looking forward to using them! They are light, crisp and well appointed. Discount Tackle does an excellent job of packaging for shipment! Buy with confidence!

Rebel against the norm!

There are sooo many rods on the market that it can make it difficult to choose the right one! Daiwa has been making excellent products for years. These new Rebellion rods are are not the same old formula. Im using the 7 feet 3 inches - Medium-Heavy - Fast action. First off they are not laden down with a lot of Resin which means they are extremely sensitive and responsive. You may think "brittle", easy to break, not so! They are super strong and Feather light. I couldn't believe how light they are. You can feel every single thump, bite, nick. The quality of the components is unheard-of in a rod under $200. The guides, the EVA Grips, and the reel seat are the best of Daiwa technology. The Braiding-X technology is a plus. It does not allow the rod to twist torsionally and that translates into a wrist saver, as the stress of fighting a monster bass is not going to beat your arms to death. Everybody appreciates the ability to rip some lips all day long without a doctor's visit. These are all-around speciality rods, if that is such a thing!! I will admit I am Daiwa partial, however what works is what I go with. This rod is paired with a Zillion TW HD 1520H 6.3 reel, the Cadillac of the Zillion series. This combo is going to slay, so I can fillet! 😉👍👍🤗🤗

Great quality rod

I am really happy with this (701MLRB) rod. It is really light and I love the R action. It casts small baits like a dream and still has enough backbone for fighting fish. The only slight annoyance is the lack of a hook keeper, but that is a really minor complaint. FYI, I used the rod for throwing small jerkbaits and swim baits for smallmouth. The 7' ML is about perfect for that.
