The Accu Cull E-Con Tags Culling System is an environmentally friendly and conservation minded puncture-free culling system for tournament fishing. It still holds all day long thanks to the system's plastic clips, but causes less damage. Colored surgical tubing helps you quickly identify your fish, and the tubing even features cork inserts which allow them to float for even easier identification. The new livewell mounting strap allows you attach it anywhere there is a screw your livewell, so you can mount the tags easily right where you need them - in your livewell - with no tangles.

Need realisitic expectations... but these work for me!

These culling tags are not the big heavy clamp type. I personally don't like the heavy culling clamps that allow anglers to hang the fish from scales or balance beams. I want something small and light that doesn't impede the bass from opening and closing their mouths. And I don't want floating balls (on the ends of the colored cords) that tangle with each other and end up forcing the fish into one big tied-up mess. Been there, done that. I want the lightest, simplest culling tags that allow me to locate and identify which bass is which. I do not expect nor want to lift the fish with the culling strap. I use the colored cords to slowly and carefully bring the fish to the top of the live-well just long enough to use my thumb to lip and lift up the fish. All bass in my live-well were weighed and recorded on the Accu-Cull Weight Recorder (Which I love!!!) when they first came into the boat. The only reason I need an individual fish is to release it when a bigger fish is caught.

Fact: if you lift a fish out of the water using this culling tag, it will come off! If you don't want that to happen, don't buy these tags. But if you want a tag that is light and small, identifies individual fish, won't tangle, and reduces the stress on your catch, then these tags will serve you well. If you have a similar culling philosophy to mine, you will be happy with these economical tags. As in life, unrealistic expectations produce the greatest unhappiness. Know what these tags are, and what they are not. Then match the right tags to your culling philosophy and needs. Note: I happened to lose my original Accu-Cull Econ culling tag set to some wind gusts on my last tournament, but I reordered these because they do exactly what I expect cull tags to do. Hope this helps! Tight lines!!!
